Phimai Historical Park is the most important attraction in Nakhon Ratchasima. It dates back to the Khmer-era, and somewhat resembles the famous Angkor Wat in Cambodia. It’s a classic example of Khmer architecture and is packed with lots of walls, ponds, towers, courtyards, and more. Also, it’s an ideal spot for meditation, along with several other spiritual activities.

Here, you can spot various animal species such as deers, bears, elephants, reptiles, monkeys, gibbons, and more. Also, it has several waterfalls that are a sight to behold.
Wat Ban Rai is an architectural wonder
Otherwise known as The Elephant Temple, Wat Ban Rai is a unique temple built in the form of a massive elephant. Also, its interior (packed with sculptures, paintings, and more) seems straight out of a fairytale.
Lam Takhong Dam offers panoramic mountain views
Built-in 1974, Lam Takhong Dam is a beautiful embankment dam situated on the Lam Takhong River. The idea behind its construction was to supply water to all the farms around. Now, it serves as a tourist attraction, thanks to the surrounding scenic natural views.
